Trustee’s Assistant: How to Conveniently and Quickly Manage Your Client’s Account Yourself

We’re glad you’re using our self-service options – they’re designed to make your work smoother and give you more time for what truly matters. As a bankruptcy trustee, you can conveniently handle many daily tasks on your client’s (debtor’s) account directly in the LHV Internet Bank. Below you’ll find instructions for the most common situations.

First, log in to the LHV Internet Bank with your personal account.

After logging in, you’ll see a small arrow next to your name at the top of the page. Click it and select your client’s (debtor’s) name – you’re now managing their account.

Then choose from the following instructions depending on what action you wish to perform (see FAQs 2–7).

You can do this directly in the debtor’s account.

  1. After accessing the debtor’s account (see FAQ 1), select Information and Settings → Accounts and Limits from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click “Change transfer limits”, set the desired daily, monthly, or per-transaction limits, then click “Submit”.
  3. Review the changes and confirm with your PIN2 signature. That’s it — the limits are updated immediately.

This lets you control how much and how often the debtor can make payments — quickly and without waiting.

You can update card limits in just a few moments.

  1. After accessing the debtor’s account (see FAQ 1), go to Everyday Banking → Bank Cards → [select card] → Card details and limits.
  2. Click “Change card limits”, select the desired amounts (e.g. cash withdrawal or purchase limits), and define which transaction types are allowed.
  3. Preview the changes, confirm them with PIN2, and the new limits will take effect immediately.

You can also change the debtor’s card limits in the LHV mobile app by switching to the debtor’s profile via the arrow next to your name, then selecting Cards → [menu icon] → Card limits.

If you’d like the debtor to see their account but not make payments:

  1. After accessing their account (see FAQ 1), select Information and Settings → Accounts and Limits.
  2. Click “Add user” and enter the debtor’s details (full name, personal ID code, email, and phone number).
  3. Select which accounts they can view by checking “Access to account”, then set the transfer limit to 0 if they’re not supposed to make payments.
  4. Click “Apply”, review the changes, and confirm with PIN2. The debtor can now view their account securely.

You can add users who have been identified by LHV. The easiest way to do this is via e-identification. Once the new user is verified:

  1. Go to Information and Settings → Accounts and Limits, click “Add user”, and fill in their personal information.
  2. Select the accounts they should have access to, set limits if necessary, and confirm with PIN2.

The new user will then be able to view account information.

You can order a new card directly via the Internet Bank:

  1. Go to Everyday Banking → Bank Cards → Order a card.
  2. Select which new card you would like to order and click “Order card”. Then choose whether you want to order a physical card or a virtual card. If you select a physical card, a new field will appear where you can choose the delivery method. Select “By post” from the dropdown menu — this way the physical card will be delivered to the postal address free of charge. Delivery to a client office is subject to a fee according to the LHV price list.
Confirm with the debtor whether they want to receive their card’s PIN code on paper or not (option: “Do not want PIN code on paper”). The card’s PIN code can be viewed in both LHV internet banking and the mobile app.
  3. Click “Continue”, review the information and confirm if everything is correct. Once the card has arrived at your address by post, activate it in internet banking or in the mobile app.

You can also order a card through the LHV mobile app under Cards → [+] → Order a card.

Activating a bank card is easy both in the Internet Bank and in the mobile app. Detailed instructions are available on our website.
