What is e-identification?

It is a fast and convenient solution for a private person or a company’s representative to open a bank account by identifying him or herself electronically in the mobile app or internet bank.

For whom

For a private person who is a citizen of Estonia or a person who has a valid residence permit in Estonia.

Technical requirements

To identify yourself, you either need a valid ID-card with ID-card reader, mobile-ID or Smart-ID.

You will need a valid ID card, passport or residence card issued in Estonia.

E-identification process

  • Start opening an account
    Fill in the required information in the LHV mobile app or internet bank.

  • E-identification
    Enter the number of a valid ID card, passport or residence card issued in Estonia.

  • Conclude a client agreement
    You can sign the client agreement at LHV mobile app or internet bank, for that you need a valid ID card with ID card reader, mobile-ID or Smart-ID.

  • Done
    Start using banking services.
