Instructions for activating a bank card in the internet bank or mobile app

For Estonian addresses, the bank card will arrive within 10 working days (depends on the Omniva postal service) and the delivery is free.

Sending your card abroad will take a bit longer, and the exact delivery time depends on your location. You can check approximate delivery times on the Omniva website. Please note that there is a €15 service fee for mailing a card abroad via regular mail.

Ordered a PIN code with your bank card? For your security, your bank card and PIN code will be mailed in separate envelopes. Please expect them to arrive at different times.

A physical card is a plastic card that has all the functions of a bank card.

A virtual card exists only in a digital form on your device: your phone or smartwatch. You can use it to pay for purchases both in physical stores and online.

With a virtual card, you can only withdraw cash from ATMs that support contactless. You cannot deposit cash or change the card’s PIN with a virtual card.

The Youth Card is free for everyone under 26.

Starting from the month following your 26th birthday, a €1 monthly fee will apply to the card. The fee will be charged on the 10th day of each month going forward. For example, if you turn 26 on January 10, €1 will be deducted from your account every month starting from February 10.

You can use the Youth Card until the end of its validity period. For example, if you turned 26 but the card is still valid for two more years, you can continue to use it for those two years, now simply paying the monthly card fee of €1.

However, if the Youth Card expires when you are already at least 26 years old, it will not be possible to order a new Youth Card once it has expired.

If you pay for a purchase with a Youth Card, you will automatically enjoy purchase insurance. You’ll get 180 days of coverage (starting from the purchase date) for purchases with a price of 100 to 5000 euros.

If anything happens to your purchased product, let us know as soon as possible and file an insurance claim notice.
