Prestigious banking magazine selects LHV as the best bank in Estonia

05.12.2022

The international banking magazine The Banker named LHV Pank the best bank in Estonia for 2022. LHV has been awarded the same accolade for four consecutive years already.

The Best Banks Awards in London highlighted LHV’s strong financial performance, rapid growth, as well as innovative banking products and services such as crypto investing, virtual cards, and various green banking products.

Kadri Kiisel, Chairman of the Management Board at LHV Pank, said that the more difficult times are, the more recognition the title of best bank has for both clients and employees.

‘The last few years have been challenging for both the banking sector and the economy as a whole. The successful ones are those who adapt quickly to change and embrace challenges as opportunities to make forward-looking decisions. You have to be able to see opportunities in risks, not just risks in opportunities,’ Kiisel said.

‘Clients expect us to be an even stronger partner in more challenging times, thinking ahead, and being there for them with the right offer at the right time. This will be our focus in the years to come – to continue to offer the best client service and comprehensive solutions for managing their finances, and to support them in their decisions,’ Kiisel added.

The Bank of the Year Awards is an annual competition held by The Banker, which is always closely watched by the banking industry. In the competition, the world’s leading banks are evaluated on the basis of their profit-making ability, strategic success and level of services. The winners will be selected globally, regionally and nationally. This year, Spanish-based BBVA bank was declared the best bank in the world, and OTB Bank was declared the best in Central and Eastern Europe.

The Banker is a leading banking and finance magazine owned by the Financial Times and published since 1926. The Banker is circulated in over 180 countries. In addition to offering banking and economic content and recognising the best in the field, The Banker also maintains a ranking of world banks.
