Assistance

Roadside assistance provides in case of an insured event a free towing from the accident scene to the nearest garage and/or service location to all passenger vehicles and vans with a registered mass of up to 3,500 kg.

Insured event is unexpected and unforeseeable damage, disappearance or destruction of the vehicle, not including the exclusions listed in Terms and Conditions. Eg. traffic accident, went off road, reversing into a tree, collision with a wild animal, damage of the windshield, natural disaster, vandalism, theft, fire and so on.

Travel interruption cover

We will reimburse reasonable costs incurred as a result of a trip interruption caused by the insured event and necessary for continuing the trip, up to 1000 euros, outside Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Roadside assistance

Within the framework of Roadside assistance, as a result of an unexpected and unforeseen event, where the use of the vehicle or continue of driving is not possible, the immediate aid is provided to all passenger vehicles and vans with a registered mass of up to 3,500 kg. Roadside assistance is provided only if it has been requested from the LHV dedicated assistance contact number 680 1122.

New value cover

New-value cover compensates the initial first-hand sale price of the vehicle on the basis of the purchase document if the vehicle is a total loss.

Leasing value cover

Leasing value cover compensates the leasing acquisition of the maximum 5 years old vehicle value up to 50,000 euros in the case of the vehicle is a total loss.

Leasing payment cover

Leasing payment cover compensates the leasing payments up to six months but not to exceed 3,000 euros.

Acquisition value coverage

We will reimburse the vehicle’s purchase price according to the purchase documents in the event of the vehicle’s total loss or disappearance (including theft) within the first six months following the conclusion of the insurance agreement. This coverage applies if no more than 10 years have passed since the vehicle’s first registration, the purchase price is up to 50 000 euros, and no more than 30 days elapsed between the vehicle’s acquisition and the conclusion of the insurance agreement.

Replacement trailer

Replacement trailer cover compensates the damages caused to trailers with category O1 and O2 only in case it has been attached to the insured vehicle.

Replacement vehicle

Use of a Replacement vehicle is allowed for passenger vehicles and vans with a registered mass of up to 3,500 kg if the insured vehicle is not permitted to be used or it is objectively impossible to use in road traffic. Within one insurance period there is allowance to use replacement car up to two times and up to 30 days per each claim event.

Mechanical breakdown

Mechanical breakdown covers for vehicles up to 7 years old and mileage less than 150,000 km. the expenses on repair and replacement caused by unexpected and unforeseeable failure of the vehicle’s engine, transmission, brake and steering system and their control electronics and cooling systems.

Rental car coverage

Rental car insurance covers claims filed by the rental company against the policyholder that arise as a result of a traffic accident, mishap or vandalism to the policyholder's rented vehicle. The compensation limit for rental car insurance is 20,000 euros per insurance period.

Repurchasing cost

In the event of total loss of the insured vehicle, the justified cost of repurchasing the vehicle shall be indemnified by adding to the indemnity 5%. Indemnity shall be paid out to policyholder. Repurchasing cost will not be compensated if the claim will be indemnified under the new value or purchase value cover.

Pet cover

Pet insurance covers the costs raising from the damage or death of up to two pets in the vehicle caused by the insured event.

Charging station

Under the charging station cover any unexpected and unforeseen event occurring to the charging station where it becomes damaged, lost or destroyed shall be compensated.

Baggage

Luggage insurance covers losses occurring through damage to or destruction of the personal belongings (luggage) of the vehicle possessor and passengers in the insured vehicle as a consequence of a traffic accident, accident and vandalism as defined in the Terms and Conditions.

Passenger accident insurance

Passenger accident insurance event is permanent incapacity for work or death of up to five passengers present in the vehicle that are caused directly by bodily injury sustained as a consequence of an insured event. Maximum payable amount that will be paid in case of insured event is defined on the policy.

The insured vehicle in normal use must not be used as a rental vehicle or a taxi; for car-sharing services; or as a training, emergency, courier or security patrol vehicle. If you want to provide such services with your vehicle, indicate the relevant use in the insurance contract.

Inform LHV Insurance of any potential increase in the insured risk at the earliest opportunity. An increase in the insured risk is, for example, sale of the vehicle to a new owner, a change in the use of the vehicle, conversion or tuning of the vehicle, or loss of the vehicle keys.

If you have chosen to pay the insurance policy in instalments, pay the instalments by the due dates specified in the policy. In case of non-payment, we have the right to withdraw from the contract or cancel it in accordance with the procedure provided for in the Law of Obligations Act. If the paid insurance premium (including an instalment) is less than the amount due as specified in the policy, the insurance premium shall be deemed not to have been paid.

If you have chosen an automatically extended insurance contract, you will have to notify us at least two days before the end of the current insurance period if you want to terminate the contract. If LHV is not notified, the contract will be automatically extended for the next period.

I have read the Motor Own Damage Insurance Terms and Conditions, the Insurance Product Information Document (IPID) and Instructions for taking a photo of the vehicle.

Before signing the insurance contract, you must inform LHV Insurance of any damage to the vehicle and, when signing the contract, confirm that the vehicle has no damage that is not known to us.
