Estonian people choose LHV as their preferred employer

In January, CV-Online Estonia conducted its annual Top Employer survey, which identified the preferences of Estonian people when choosing an employer. LHV was chosen as the winner in the top-of-mind category, i.e., the company where Estonian people would most like to work. LHV was also recognised as the preferred employer in the financial sector.

According to Age Leedo, Acting Head of Human Resources at LHV, the title of best employer is recognition for LHV as a whole. ‘While the title of “Best Employer of the Year”, awarded to us last year, was a source of great joy, it is even more significant that we continue to be the best employer.’

‘It all begins with the best service and experience, which we as a bank want to offer, because it is often LHV’s clients who are our future colleagues. When we enjoy our work and do what is truly important to us, it also stands out and creates the feeling of wanting to come here. And when you come here, it’s important that you want to stay here. This is the only way that an attractive employer can truly become the best employer,’ Leedo said.

LHV’s values are simple, supportive, and effective – it is through the same values that one’s activities as an employer are also shaped.

Separately, the best employers were also selected in six different business sectors. The respondents chose LHV as the top employer in the financial sector.

‘Our pace of growth has been rapid in recent years – our workforce has doubled in only a couple of years, and now exceeds more than 900 people. In order to grow so quickly, you need the best specialists in their respective fields, who are inspired by our mission and goals. We want to keep on conquering new peaks and celebrate their crossing together. We are pleased to see that people care about this and want to be part of LHV’s success story,’ said Leedo.

Participants in the survey were also asked to indicate, among other things, the criteria they consider to be most important when choosing an employer. Competitive wages and additional benefits were considered the most important (62.5%), followed by a good indoor climate and great colleagues (52.6%), the noticing and recognition of good results (42.9%), caring for and supporting the health of employees (42.1%), and flexible working arrangements (41.7%).

The Top Employer survey is organised by the leading recruitment partner CV-Online Estonia (CV.ee). A record 13,000 people took part in this survey. The competition has a long history – Top Employers have been selected for the past 11 years.

LHV Group is the largest domestic financial group and capital provider in Estonia. LHV Group’s key subsidiaries are LHV Pank, LHV Varahaldus, and LHV Kindlustus. The Group’s companies employ more than 900 people.
