Borrowing Conditions of LHV Library

  1. General

    1. AS LHV Pank (hereinafter LHV) offers its clients the opportunity to borrow investment-related publications under the terms and conditions set out in these rules.
    2. An LHV client who wishes to use the library services is considered a Reader within the meaning of these rules.

  2. Procedure for Lending Publications

    1. To borrow publications, the Reader shall present an identity document, whereby by borrowing each publication, the Reader also confirms that they have previously read these rules and agree to the provisions set out herein.
    2. An LHV client has the right to borrow publications in the LHV library generally for a period of 1 month. The lending period for magazines is generally 1 week. LHV has the right to establish a shorter lending period for certain publications. It is not permitted to borrow more than 3 publications at a time.
    3. The Reader has the right to request a one-time extension of the lending period by sending a corresponding e‑mail to info@lhv.ee or by calling 6 800 400. The lending period will not be extended if the deadline has been exceeded by 30 days or if there is a waiting list (queue) for the publication.
    4. If the Reader has not returned a publication on time and has not extended the lending period, or in any other way violates these lending rules, no additional publications will be lent, nor will the lending period for other publications in the Reader’s possession be extended.
    5. No publications will be lent to clients who have an outstanding debt to LHV under a client agreement concluded between LHV and the client.

  3. Confirmations of the Reader

    1. The Reader confirms and guarantees that the use of borrowed publications/magazines, including making copies of the publication/magazine, is done in accordance with the Copyright Act.

  4. Liability of the Reader

    1. In the event of a lost or damaged publication/magazine, it must primarily be replaced with the same publication/magazine. In agreement with LHV, a lost or damaged publication/magazine may be replaced with another publication/magazine of at least equivalent value, or compensated in an amount determined by LHV.
