LHV Pank takes social responsibility seriously. We do all we can to support activities and initiatives which contribute to the development of Estonian society. In the case of our sponsorship projects, we prefer long-term and substantial cooperation. We are willing to contribute to the realisation of innovative ideas helping to make life in Estonia better.
The Estonian Football Association
We have been the main sponsor of the Association and the Estonian National Team since 2010. Football is the sport with the widest exposure both in Estonia and the world, uniting people of different nationalities. Football is one of the few sports in Estonia where systematic and thorough work is carried out with children and young people. With the LHV Football Card you can support your favourite team—LHV Bank will pay 10 cents on all of your purchases to the football club of your choice.
The activities of the association were revived in 2007, when active work started again with sparking interest in sailing among children to ensure the continuity of sailing as a sport. We support the acquisition of Optimist-class boats and sails for the association and the organisation of the LHV Optimist league. Optimist is first class in the sport of sailing. The greater the coverage that it receives, the greater the number of young sailors who will make it to the next classes in sailing.
Estonian Entrepreneur of the Year competition
We value Estonia’s domestic entrepreneurship highly and wish to contribute to the development of the entrepreneurial culture in Estonia. Since 2012 we have been one of the main sponsors of the Estonian Entrepreneur of the Year competition. The prize of Entrepreneur of the Year is one of the most coveted titles in the world among entrepreneurs. Each year winners from different countries travel to Monte Carlo, to compete for the title of the World Entrepreneur Of The Year.
Estonian Music Days
In cooperation with Estonia’s oldest music festival, we began awarding LHV’s new musical composition award Au-tasu in 2016. The award is presented to the composer of a noteworthy new musical work which has premiered around the world in the previous calendar year. The purpose of Au-tasu is to value new Estonian musical compositions and active Estonian composers, focusing the spotlight on new music that addresses an international audience and is deserving of extensive exposure.
Enn Soosaar Foundation
With our support, the awarding of an annual prize – named in honour of Enn Soosaar – began 2012. It was named the “Ethical Essay-Writing Prize”, based on the suggestion by President Toomas Hendrik Ilves. The prize is awarded to the author whose writings help to spread and develop values in Estonian society, to which Enn Soosaar dedicated all of his fruitful creative efforts – primarily responsibility for one’s land and people.
