Euromoney – the leading international business magazine – declared LHV the best bank in Estonia for the third year in a row.

One of the best-known business magazines, Euromoney, that celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, again recognised LHV as the best bank in Estonia. Continuous quick growth, innovation and great economic results of the bank are what put it ahead of the competition. LHV’s movement towards a more sustainable economy and the quick adaptation to changes in the economic environment, caused by the coronavirus, were also taken into account.

According to LHV’s Head of Retail Banking Kadri Kiisel, the bank’s tenth year of operation was very successful and demonstrated quick growth. “We expanded the ATM network, increased our client base and market share, developed several important services, and set our sights towards a cleaner environment and more sustainable economy. Being declared the best bank in Estonia for the third year in a row is a sign that we are on the right track,” she said.

This year, Credit Agricole was declared the best bank in Western Europe, and UniCredit was declared the best bank in Central and Eastern Europe.

When presenting its awards, the business magazine Euromoney processes the data of more than 1000 candidates each year, comparing the economic results, growth numbers and development activities of the banks over the past 12 months. Euromoney has been presenting their Awards of Excellence to banks since 1992, and these are some of the oldest and most prestigious awards in the financial sector.
