III pillar
Investing in the LHV Supplementary Pension Fund is as easy as paying a bill. You need an EVK securities account to do this. You can open one in LHV free of charge.
Investment with income tax rebate
The state gives you an income tax rebate on the amount you have paid into a third pillar pension fund. For example, if you were to invest 100 euros now, the tax rebate you would receive next March would be 21% × 100 = 21 euros.
The income tax rebate is the only reason for preferring a third pillar pension fund over an ordinary investment fund.
It makes most sense to invest in the third pillar if you want to use this money after you turn 55.
The income tax rebate is paid on the amount that does not exceed 15% of your annual gross income or 6000 euros per year.
